Beach Path - Award Winning Artwork by Christina Tugeau

Beach Path. Acrylic Plein Air 10 x 10

ARTIST STATEMENT

I love to paint - the delightful surprise each time as ‘something’ comes from nothing - pushing and pulling paint on paper, panels, or canvas - an image that has never existed before! I paint scenes, large and small, that capture my attention with their subject, shapes, light play, color, or story.  I have an intention for the piece when I start but I am an intuitive painter and ‘listen’ to the moment and the paint itself once I begin.  Often it has other intentions for me… thus the surprise!

Hello and Welcome!

Hope you'll enjoy your travel through my painted world!  Please go to the menu pages for Acrylic/Oil. and Watercolor, see my bio as well, and leave me your info' and note in 'contacts,' if you wish.  Click on any painted image and more info. will POP up = size, support, whether it is currently for sale or not.  (occasionally I can get my mind changed)  I do not price them here as I'd rather negotiate with and get to know you!  Prices are reasonable still.

(Just won (and sold), a third place in the RAC 'Big and Small' Show at the Rowayton Arts Center, in Rowayton, CT. I appeared in Plein Art Magazine's June '21 issue having won the 'BEST ACRYLC 'for that month, and won 'BEST ADULT' at the Weir Preserve Competition, Wilton CT....and they asked to duplicate it on a large 'bear'  which is now an outdoor art piece at the First National Park in honor of-Alden Weir.)
